Fees and Marketing Policy

• Print/Deposit fee (per buck): $100 due in advance, covers up to 80 straws ordered
• Processed semen: $6 per straw (30 straw minimum, then increments of 10)
• Straw Printing for late additions: $125

*  Processed semen will be rated using an iSperm and the motility will be included on your invoice and also on our website if we are marketing the semen.

Quality of semen Is primarily dependent on the buck, not the processing. 

If a buck cannot provide fresh semen at 65% motility or more, according to the iSperm analyzer, a $50 analysis fee will be charged and you will be given your printed straws to use at a later collection. If an owner elects to go forward with fresh semen at less than 65% motility, they assume full responsibility for the end product, regardless of post thaw motility. 

If semen is not at least 30% motility post thaw, a $100 no-freeze charge applies.

If semen is greater than 30% motility post thaw, the per straw charge applies with a minimum charge equivalent to 30 straws, even if the buck produces less than 30 straws.

Penalties

• Blue Mountain reserves the right to refuse future service for no-show or late cancellations.
• No show fee per scheduled buck billed to breeder: $100
• Fee for returned checks: $50
• If semen is not picked up within 12 months of purchase, storage fees will be added

We can help market your boys:  

• Pricing is set by the buck owner (i.e., $250 / 5 straws)
• Marketing fee is 30% of gross sale OR normal storage fee, whichever is greater--Example: I have 10 unsold canes of semen from an owner, that’s $80 for the year.  If I sell 10 straws for $300, my cut is $90, which more than covers the storage.  If I only sell 5 for $150, then my cut would be $45, so there would be an additional $35 to make up the difference to $80.
• Marketing terms are for a 12 month period.  At the end of that period, re-negotiation will be made on the status of the semen, i.e., reduce pricing for quick sale, or seller to make arrangements to transport remaining balance, or pickup at the next major ADGA event that we attend (i.e., Nationals or Convention)
• If remaining balance is not picked up per above, normal storage fees will apply
• Marketing consists of sharing your posts to promote your buck to our social media page, listing on our website with an ADGA link to pedigree, and the ability to have straws transported to other stops and stored at our location when not enroute.

We can get your semen to you wherever you may be!  

• Total Price to use our shipper is based on the variable rates from UPS as well as:

                             - $25 Nitrogen Charge

                             - $25 Shipper Rental Fee

• Our prices include insurance on the shipper/mushroom as well as doorstep pickup (NOTE: semen contained inside the shipper is NOT covered by UPS insurance and we take no responsibility for contents once they've left our tanks)
• Prices average $150-$175 per leg, so less expensive shipping can be had by combining shipments and having a multi-stop shipment
• Shipments will be sent on a first come, first served basis, unless a customer specifies no-rush

You can also send your shipper or have another facility send their shipper to us if you prefer!
